Caroline Leevers is the force behind Callie & Co Design. With over 13 years
of experience in marketing and brand management, an advanced diploma in graphic design and a lifetime's passion
for design in all its forms, she is committed to growing businesses by taking a holistic approach.
Caroline's skill lies in understanding what makes a business work and building appropriate brands which not only target exactly the right market, but also precisely encompass the company values. This approach results in brands to be proud of and healthy businesses which will grow in the right way.
Following an arts degree from the University of Southampton in England, Caroline started her career as a project manager, co-ordinating company relocations and business launches. Naturally organised, the art of pulling threads together and problem solving allowed her to succeed in this field,
before focusing on marketing and branding. Time as an account manager for a UK communications agency opened up her experience to interpreting briefs and the needs of the client, always with a hand in the creative side.
She then spent several years as the UK brand manager for an interior accessories company. Her varied role included buying trips to Europe, putting collections together, developing customer relationships and overseeing all the marketing material and public relations activity. She managed the graphic design side of the business from scheduling and buying advertising to copywriting and putting brochures and point of sale together. While she commissioned designers and printers to produce the artwork, it confirmed her view that graphic design was part of her future.
After relocating to Australia, Caroline formalised her creative skills with an advanced diploma in graphic design from the Tractor Design School. This added technical qualifications to her portfolio of communications and client management and helped to combine her knowledge of how to promote a business, her innate feel for colour and her typography and typesetting skills.
Caroline lives in Canberra with her husband of 18 years and four children. When she's not running Callie & Co and nurturing her family, she spends time indulging in her other design passions - interior and garden design - in her new home. Books, magazines, music and film are constant companions and she has a long history of travel, having seen some of the world's great sites, although with small children now, you're more likely to find her sifting through rockpools and jumping over waves on Australia's coast.
She counts her children, good coffee in a pavement café, the ocean, the endorphin high after a good circuits class, Selfridges in London, nights out with girlfriends and nights in with her husband as the best things in life.
